We are in the business of turning waste materials into reusable commodities such as metals, plastics and energy. We provide a way for businesses, organizations, and government agencies to securely destroy and recycle materials.
Our destruction, refining, and recycling facilities are in full compliance with all environmental government regulations, and the services we offer prevent millions of pounds of materials from going into landfills each year. To date we have recycled over 572 million pounds of P.E.T. grade plastic.
Our newest facility is engineered to thermally reduce products to a fine ash, without the need of natural gas or any other fossil fuel. By using the waste material as fuel, we save tens of thousands of cubic feet of natural gas each year. In addition, we recycle the waste energy to use in our other plant processes. Gemark’s thermal reduction system decreases the amount of material that would normally end up in landfills, and creates a usable clean energy source.
